Samenvatting
In een bar schieten twee mannen zonder aanleiding drie bezoekers dood en vluchten. Een foute agent die de Amerikaanse held Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter al haat sinds hij klein was, arresteert de bokser op verdenking van de moorden. The Hurricane is onschuldig, maar hij heeft geen schijn van kans in de rechtszaal: hij gaat levenslang de gevangenis in. Duizenden mensen eisen zijn vrijlating, maar niets helpt. Na jaren onschuldig achter de tralies en met alle hoop vervlogen, komt een jongen in actie voor zijn vrijlating.Credits
