De Duitse tiran Adolf Hitler (Bruno Ganz) brengt de laatste dagen van zijn heerschappij door in zijn bunker onder Berlijn. Het Rode Leger heeft met grote overmacht Berlijn omringd en daarbij vooral burgerslachtoffers gemaakt. De bunkers zitten vol met zwaar gehavende soldaten en het ontbreekt aan verpleging en medicijnen. Hitler wil Berlijn in geen geval verlaten en bevindt zich, na zijn 56e verjaardag te hebben gevierd met Eva Braun en zijn handlangers in een benauwende, uitzichtloze situatie.Credits
